El Jem with Xiyun

We saw the coliseum and museum in El Jem and ate in a hole-in-the-wall restaurant after the first restaurant we went to tried to give us an outrageously priced menu. Too bad I had eaten there twice before and knew the correct prices! The restaurant we ate at was decent though so no great loss.

We ran into some water underground. There were also a bunch of Russian tourists roaming around.

There is lots of graffiti scrawled on the walls of El Jem. This is just some of it.

Yes, that’s a horse, and that’s a woman. They’re copulating. Xiyun was very amused by it. She wants that statue for herself.

The chunk of marble turned out to be too heavy for Xiyun to carry away.
