On a bright, sunny Saturday, Heather and I went down to Colorado Springs to see a little more of what Colorado has to offer. We stopped in at the amazing Garden of the Gods to look at the rock formations. The resemblance to Uluru as we approached from the east was striking.
The rock on the right is red while the rock on the left is white.
The rock formation is part of the same geology as what made Red Rocks.
People were rock climbing around the rock formations.
There were several interesting fins of rock stretching over 100 feet above the valley floor.
Pikes Peak in the distance.
The rock fins are very narrow and very tall.
Heather checking out some rocks.
It is an interesting and odd set of rocks in an interesting and odd region of Colorado.

A big rock.
