- Ralston Roost and Frazer Meadow Cabin – A great hike in Golden Gate Canyon State Park.
- Denver Buffalo Herd – The buffalo herd that the City of Denver owns lives just up the hill from us.
- Sunday Ride to Central City and Back Again – A quick jaunt up to Central City.
- Quick Ride up Lookout Mountain Before the Storms – A motorcycle, a road, and an oncoming storm.
- Over the Top of Lookout Mountain – Hiking over Lookout Mountain to town.
- Up Bear Creek Canyon – another gorgeous motorcycle ride.
- Welcome Home, 1988 Toyota 4runner DLX! – My first proper 4×4! What a momentous day!
- First 4×4 Foray with the 4runner – Dan takes me out to show me what a 1st gen 4runner is truly capable of.
- Fixing up the 4runner with New Electrical Goodies – And thus the modification of my 4runner begins.

- Old Fall River Road – the one lane dirt road through Rocky Mountain National Park does not disappoint.
- Heading Down to Grand Lake – We saw some great animals and pretty views heading west out of Rocky Mountain National Park.
- Exploring West of Grand Lake – Trundling along in the national forest, looking for somewhere to camp.
- Our Campsite in the Mountains – We found an awesome campsite way up on a mountain to the west of Grand Lake and just south of the Never Summer Wilderness.
- Coming Off the Mountain – Heading down from the campsite and into Grand Lake.
- Brunch Above Grand Lake – A great view above Grand Lake at the lodge.
- Boat Tour of Grand Lake – We took a scenic boat tour to check out all the huge houses around the lake.
- Buffalo Barbeque and Parade – The yearly Grand Lake tradition did not disappoint.
- Back Over the Mountains Through Rocky Mountain National Park – This time on the paved road, we drove back to the east side of the Rocky Mountains.
- Mount Evans with Nikos and Neal – Heather and I took a few friends up Mount Evans to see the view.
- Maple Syrup from Canada – My keen negotiation skills come through.
- Rising Sun 4×4 Rally – A big swap meet just down the road.
- Yankee Hill Looking at St. Mary’s Glacier – A great view provided by my 4runner.
- Bill Moore Lake 4×4 Run – Checking out some interesting bits of Colorado scenery.
- Forgotten Valley – A great little hike up at Golden Gate Canyon State Park.
- West Magnolia and Apex on New Tires – Thanks to Bill, I got some new rubber after blowing a tire on the Bill Moore Lake run.
- Sand Dunes Trip: We headed down to Great Sand Dunes National Park for a long weekend.
- Buena Vista and Collegiate Peaks – A great view on the way south.
- Medano Pass to the Great Sand Dunes – A really fun little road heading down to the sand dunes.
- Great Sand Dunes National Park – A great park with a lot of sand.
- Colorado Gators Reptile Park – Yes, they have alligators.
- Hayden Pass in the Rain – We did it in the hard direction in the rain on bald tires. Wohoo!
- Coming Off Hayden Pass and Back to Golden – Back to reality.
- Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument – A really need bunch of fossils.
- Edgar Experimental Mine 150th Birthday – My university’s mine had a birthday party complete with burros.
- Loch Lomond – We tool Carl out for a 4×4 adventure.
- Mega Magnolia Transect – An epic day long adventure with the 4runner.
- Middle St. Vrain and Coney Flats – Slow and difficult 4wheeling fun.
- Caribou Flats – Taking Carl and Jessica out for some 4x4ing.
- Rampart Range Road – A nice little dirt road that can be way too dusty.
- Spooky Night Run 2015 – I threw enough lights on my truck for this icy, snowy run to light up the whole forest.
