In November 2014 I went to Montreal, Quebec for the annual ASME IMECE conference. I was able to get a few minutes away from the conference to explore some of Montreal and sample some of the wonderful food of the city. Here are a few photos I took along the way.
- Heading to Canada – I went to Canada via Dallas.
- The View From the Hotel Room in Montreal – The Place des Arts across the street from my hotel was very pretty at night.
- Tiny Ketchup in Montreal – I’ve never seen a tiny glass ketchup bottle before.
- Palais des congrès de Montréal – A beautiful building in which to hold a conference.
- Brisket Montréal: An Outstanding Poutinerie – I found an absolutely outstanding palace of poutine not far from the conference center and hotel.
- On the Street Around Montreal – I stumbled upon the Basilique Notre-Dame de Montréal.
- Tim Horton’s is a Delicious Canadian Thing – I absolutely love Timmy’s but only get to visit the establishment very occasionally.
- Fish and Chips at Brit and Chips in Montreal – Montreal has an incredibly good fish and chips restaurant tucked away not far from Victoria Square.
- Walking Around Montreal in the Early Morning – Sunrise over Montreal on my last morning in town.
- Old Town Montreal – The old town of Montreal is beautiful.
- Near Université McGill – I took a quick walk around the area of Université McGill.
- One Final Crepe in Montreal – A delicious parting breakfast before I left Montreal.
