Fishing in a Boat

Emily’s brother, McLean and I went out in a little skiff for some afternoon fishing. We didn’t have a single bite but we did manage to finish a six pack of beer and see some interesting marine life. A couple of whales were breaching a half mile away. Some otters came and said hello. A sea lion thrashed a salmon around on the beach. Even some porpoises came and visited us. If only some fish had come to take a nibble on a hook!

The small harbor at Gustavus.  Most of the boats were pulled up near the high water mark and allowed to rest on the ground.
