It appears that a Honda CBR1000RR 08-09 or a CBR600RR 07-09 pump might be the ticket for me. It isn’t an external pump but I could fab up something to put it in as a secondary tank. The unit is nice, small, compact, designed to put out 50psi, appears to have a built-in pressure regulator so that it’s already regulated when it leaves the pump thus negating any need for a return line, and has a low fuel warning sensor that I am sure I could find use for.
The CBR1000RR pump puts out about 1200 cc/min while the CBR600RR pump puts out 1000 cc/min. Both are above the 600cc/min that my bike’s existing pump is rated for. I wonder if the 600RR pump would consume less amps than the 1000RR pump. Both are priced about the same on EBay. The less power consumed, the better for my bike. The PC is already underpowered as it is. I need to be careful not to use up all the juice I rely on to have heated socks in the winter!
