We were lucky enough to catch the Buffalo BBQ and Parade in Grand Lake on the weekend we were in town. The parade was quite the event.
The centennial of Rocky Mountain National Park was being celebrated by several park staff on a float.
The last block of the parade is the “splash zone” where a massive water fight rages between parade floats and the spectators.
A local bumper car place brought their carts out.
Ridiculous but in a good way.
The local conservatives.
The library had an old truck in the parade.
The Republicans had their own truck, too.
Ridiculous, but in a good way? Oh I’m starting to get some design ideas for your 4-wheeler. Now if only those wheel covers would spin and the LED lights under it would change colors every time you threw the switches to make it jump up off the ground. You know, that could be a new method of 4 wheeling. Instead of spinning tires, rutting out the road and slinging rocks….you just pull up to an embankment, throw 6 switches and El Caprice hop your truck up to the next embankment.
Stop laughing at my visions.

Hah that would be impressive! I prefer to go slow with my tires aired down and not spin the wheels. Slow and steady wins the ecologically-responsible race!
