The old cattlemen’s cabin at Big Maxon Meadow still stands. It isn’t used for much of anything anymore although the USFS trail crew occasionally stores tools in it.
The building is showing its age.

Big Maxon Meadow has grown in with trees significantly over the years. Perhaps a forest fire will open the meadow up again to its former splendor.
