We took a long walk along the ocean this morning. It is really staring to feel like fall on the Monterey Peninsula.
Half Moon Bay Pumpkin Festival
We headed up to Half Moon Bay for the big art and pumpkin festival. They had some massive pumpkins, some great pumpkin carving, and about a mile long strip of road given over to vendors from all over North America selling their art.
Big ride on back roads to Coalinga and back
I went on an absolutely outstanding ride through back roads of Monterey, San Benito, and Fresno Counties to reach Coalinga for lunch. The roads were remote and not very well paved but my trusty Honda Pacific Coast PC800 saw me through the whole trip. It was surprisingly hot in Coalinga so I hid in the air conditioning of a restaurant for a half hour before starting the trip back to Monterey. I was having so much fun on the ride that I only took a couple photos and only pulled over a couple of times.
