The day after Christmas day at Forked Meadow

We got a lot of snow overnight and woke up to a beautiful clear day at Forked Meadow. I got to work blowing the driveway so we could come and go if needed and to stay ahead of the snow before the next storm. Sunny enjoyed time in front of the wood stove. I walked around the lower meadow to look at the creek but didn’t venture further because the trees were dumping snow in the woods.

Christmas day at Forked Meadow

It was a beautiful Christmas day at Forked Meadow. We got some snow overnight which made it into a white Christmas. Poofy tried venturing outside but quickly retreated after discovering that snow is cold on her jellybean toes. Sunny spent most of the day napping on his heated bed. I saw coyote tracks on the driveway.

Christmas eve at Forked Meadow

The snow finally came at the tail end of the atmospheric river today. We got several inches and things cooled down enough to lock in the rain as ice in the existing snow. Sunny enjoyed spending some time in my mom’s tote bag because he fits he sits.
