This year we only brought out the N scale train to run around the top of a table. It was still fun having a train out for Christmas. Nothing like the old days of 20+ trains running at the same time though.

December atmospheric river at Forked Meadow
The atmospheric river roared in this morning. We’re getting a lot of cold rain falling on the snow. The creek has started flowing both above and below the snow which makes for some interesting scenes.
A little later in the day and the creek has expanded out over the lower part of the meadow all the way into the woods. I’ve never seen it do this here before.
Waiting for the next storm at Forked Meadow
The clouds are gathering in advance of the next storm. It looks like this will be a warm start of an atmospheric river followed by more snow. We got the snow blower fixed this morning so my dad could remove snow from the back of the house. It’s a never ending battle.
