I packed up and headed to Forked Meadow for the holidays, and found a cold wintery scene upon arrival. It snowed a few days ago and now there’s quite the pileup of snow.

Getting in the holiday spirit in Monterey
Sunny and Oliver are getting in the holiday spirit in Monterey. We’ve got the tree up that I brought back from Forked Meadow and there’s even a LEGO train around it (not pictured). I’m sure the kitties are looking forward to opening all their presents on Christmas morning!
Hiking around Forked Meadow
Here are a few photos of hiking around Forked Meadow the last few days. There’s a little western gray squirrel who has been trying to claim the firewood rack on the porch as his home. Funny thing is we use that firewood and restock it weekly so he’ll have to keep finding a new home every week.
