We went on a hike up on Jack’s Peak today to see the views toward Carmel, Carmel Valley, and Monterey. It’s really pretty up there.
Afterward we went down to the beach for a few hours of relaxing.
Some friends came down for a weekend in a hotel in Monterey to get out of their house after a year and a half since their last time away from home. We went to Dennis the Menace Park where there’s a cool old steam engine I remember playing on as a kid. Then we walked along the seal beach and down cannery row. Then after that we went out to see the Great Tide Pool by Asilomar. It’s weird seeing other humans we know in person who don’t live in our town after a year and a half of not seeing such folks except over Zoom.
