On today’s hike we went over to the lower Presidio. The Monterey Presidio is the only still-active presidio in the USA. All the rest have been converted to civilian uses. The bottom part of this presidio is open to the public.
There is a monument to Father Junipero Serra who founded the Spanish mission on the Monterey peninsula and is seen as the father of several towns in the area. There’s also a monument to Commodore Sloat who took Alta California from Mexico.
We hiked up to Huckleberry Hill which is not too far from our house. It has a few very small views through the trees of the ocean but the main show is all of the trees. Then we found these interesting flowers on our way back down to our house.
This is the diagram for the fuse block cover located behind the left engine air vent on a Honda Pacific Coast PC800 motorcycle. These little covers can sometimes go missing which makes it hard to figure out what fuse does what. The image below comes from the iPCRC.
