First time with a passenger

Yesterday I rode about 92 miles with a passenger.  Emily was a willing test subject to see if I know how to pilot a bike with someone sitting behind me.  We went part way up Marys Peak to where Rich and Greg were with a bunch of other Something Awful goons shooting off massive amounts of ammunition.  I had the opportunity to shoot a couple of different pistols and an AK-74 (I think?).  All were fun.  We were right at the snow line, too.  Rather surreal.  It felt a little like Kosovo.

On the way back into town we decided to do the Kings Valley route.  It was all quite fun!

Rebuilt forks and modified hemlet

Over the last two weeks I rebuilt the forks on my motorcycle.  After one of the seals blew out I decided it was time.  The oil inside was pretty gross even though it was only serviced a few thousand miles ago.  There is also a strange set of springs inside the forks that no one was able to identify.  Eventually I’ll post photos of the whole operation.

Also I’ve been modifying my helmet to make it quieter.  It’s getting better but still not great.  Next step is to put a sun visor on it and see how that works.  Photos of that eventually, too.
