Gallon House Covered Bridge

The Gallon House Covered Bridge is a Howe Truss span that was originally built in 1916.  It’s down a little farm road outside of Silverton.  The parking is a little treacherous for motorcycles but since there are almost no cars on the road, it is completely possible to park in the middle of the bridge if you want.

Larwood Covered Bridge

The Larwood Covered Bridge was built in 1939.

This is another example of the open sided design that is typical of Linn County.

A small water diversion control gate sits derelict just downstream from the covered bridge.
