Granite used to be a much larger town. Now it is just a small collection of houses in the middle of nowhere.

There were many mobile homes with big roofs built over top. I am guessing that it must be due to the snow load.
A store is still in operation at Granite. I can only imagine how infrequently fresh vegetables get to this part of the world.
