Waking up to snow can be fun. Especially when you don’t expect quite so much. Too bad we didn’t get a snow day.

After the epic adventure Brent and I had getting up to the top of Marys Peak, we were surprised to find that almost all of the snow had vanished from the summit.
Just a few wisps of snow were left on the walk up to the top.
This can only end well.
For close to a year, a whole train worth of container-carrying rail cars has been parked on the mothballed line that runs by my parents house. The cars appear to be refurbished. They are ganged together in sets with cars sharing wheels. Here you can see them across a trestle. Reflective tags glow in the evening light.
