Delfina came down to Monterey to visit us and eat some crab. The harbor was very calm in the evening.

The Old Lime Kilns at Limekiln State Park
We took a hike through the redwood forest at Limekiln State Park to visit the old lime kilns for which the park is named.

These kilns are really big. You can still walk around them although I imagine in a few years the area will be closed off as the kilns become more unstable.
We hiked up the canyon next to the lime kilns to check out a waterfall.
Hiking up the Mountains to the Redwoods Along the California Coast
After a lovely night camping along the beach, Heather, Zach, Vera, and I headed up the trail and into the redwoods.
This is a gorgeous piece of coastline where a road was built in such an improbable location.
