A crazy intense rain squall moved through town just before I was going to leave the house. You never know what the weather might hold on the California coast.
Moon Jellies and Sunny
A gorgeous day in Monterey with the harbor down below the old fortifications.
The beach at Lover’s Point.
Is every day like this here?
Sailboats out on the bay.
The seal beach at the Hopkins Marine Station.
A pretty sunrise even with the low clouds.
Moon jellies in the harbor.
Sunny is digging his cat tower. It goes to show that you can bribe a cat.
Along the hotels and shops on Cannery Row.
Bunch of birds sitting on the ruins of a cannery.
Looking back at the harbor.
Sunny looks like he is enjoying his time here.
Sea Nettle Swarm
Heather and I went out into the bay to test our dive gear. The video above is of us waving hello from Monterey!
As we swam farther out, we encountered a couple pretty sea nettles. These little jellyfish can sting.
Then it became like a horror show! It was just as bad as that one scene in Finding Nemo!
