We did a little boat diving off of our friend’s boat in Monterey Bay.
On a surface interval next to a bull kelp forest.
It’s nice having a dry suit here.
All that bull kelp.

All that bull kelp.
We had the opportunity to go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium after hours. We had the whole Open Ocean tank to ourselves.
The sea otters had already put themselves to bed.
The anchovies were slowed down in their endless circle and half asleep.
No one in front of the jellyfish tanks!
Moon jellies swimming along.
All those sea nettles.
Tiny little jellyfish in a tank.
Lots of jellyfish swimming along.
Zillions of teany tiny jellyfish.
I went out to Dinkey Creek to help my parents with a few things and did a little exploring of some of the back trails in the area.
My favorite trailer kitty, Miss Poofy!
Up on Bald Mountain at the old lookout tower.
There’s a lot of exposed granite to play on up here.
It’s always fun playing around in high places.
At the base of the lookout tower.
The original structure on top of the tower is long gone but someone built a replica. Or at least that’s what appears to have happened. Unfortunately the lighting arresting equipment is long gone so it wouldn’t be a wise decision to be anywhere near here in a storm.
A view from up on top of Bald Mountain.
Shaver Lake in the distance.
The back country where we go backpacking is in the background of this picture.
Lots of granite to play on!
Playing around on some rocks.
Over at a lake on Southern California Edison Land near my parents.
