I had to dig out my car this morning so that I could head back to Monterey with Sunny and Poofy in tow. It kept on snowing but I was able to escape the mountains with chains on my car. The drive to the low country was gorgeous. I had snow covered roads all the way down to Shaver Ranch but wasn’t able to take my chains off until Cressman’s.
Digging out from the snow at Forked Meadow
We got a lot more snow overnight and it continued into the day at Forked Meadow. The icicle out front is really growing large. My car is completely buried under the snow now. I did more snow blowing including behind the house to get ready for the next storm.
Sunny discovered that he can lay next to or underneath the wood stove and become super warm. He’s in love! Poofy went out onto the porch for a little bit but decided it was way too cold for her tastes.
The day after Christmas day at Forked Meadow
We got a lot of snow overnight and woke up to a beautiful clear day at Forked Meadow. I got to work blowing the driveway so we could come and go if needed and to stay ahead of the snow before the next storm. Sunny enjoyed time in front of the wood stove. I walked around the lower meadow to look at the creek but didn’t venture further because the trees were dumping snow in the woods.
