Morrison for Breakfast

IMG_1141

Heather and I went to the cute little town of Morrison for breakfast this morning.  The town is just a bit south and east of Red Rocks.  It seems to be a very popular place for bikers on the weekends.

This is a bridge that cars drive over into the residential area of Morrison.  It was installed by the Colorado highway department about 100 years ago according to its boilerplate.

El Dorado Canyon State Park with Heather and Jen

IMG_1116

Heather’s friend Jen showed us a really neat area called El Dorado Canyon.  It is a popular state park for rock climbers just outside Boulder.  The scenery is incredibly dramatic.  Once I have my mountain legs about me, I plan to go back to do some of the hikes in the area.

Heather and Jen found a nice spot to sit on a rock by the creek.

Lots of puffy clouds in the sky today.

The creek would normally be much less full this time of year but with all of the thunderstorms of the last month, there is still a good bit of water running down the mountains.

Evidently I can walk on water.
