Ominous Weather
We’ve had some ominous weather here in Golden today. This morning it was bright and sunny with the temperature around 60 degrees. At around 10am, the temperature plummeted to 29F in about 20 minutes. Fog and clouds rolled in, and the temperature continued to drop. The weather looked threatening all day long but nothing has come of it yet.
Our Common Pleco, Dr. Krieger, is Getting BIG!
Our common pleco, named Dr. Krieger, has grown quite large over the last six months. Previously he was about an inch long. Now he is somewhere between six and eight inches long, and growing more every day. This photo is of him going up to the surface to drink some air for his swim bladder.
Here he is eating an algae tab on the bottom.
He has really interesting lips.
Krieger has gotten a taste for blanched zucchini. We are trying to teach him how to eat carrots and apples next.
