Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me at Red Rocks

IMG_6495

Heather and I headed over to Red Rocks Amphitheater for a live taping of Wait Wait Don’t Tell me, the NPR news quiz.  Had we known the traffic would be such a nightmare, we would have ridden our bicycles or walked.

Up the steps and into the amphitheater.  Becky saved us some seats.  We were JUST in time for the start of the show.

Looking down on the stage.  This might be the biggest crowd that the cast of Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me has ever performed in front of.

The Buckhorn Exchange

20140708_201705The Buckhorn Exchange is an interesting century-old palace of death and fine dining in Denver. Many famous people have come through here for all manner of consumable animal flesh.  The steak is pretty good although the scenery is a bit… interesting.  In the back the thing that looks like a tusk is actually a whale penis (dork).  It is a very interesting and unique restaurant.
