We stopped for some shrimp a one of the shrimp shacks along where the shrimp ponds are located on the north shore.
Hiking in Ahupuaʻa ʻO Kahana State Park
We went for a hike in the Ahupuaʻa ʻO Kahana State Park and saw a few World War 2 era bunkers that were used for training when the whole valley was used as a jungle warfare training center.
The place definitely gives off a lot of Jurassic Park vibes which makes sense considering large portions of the film were shot in the next valley over.
Kapa’ele’ele Trail
We hiked the Kapa’ele’ele Trail out to the Kapa’ele’ele Ko’a and looked into the Ahupua’a ‘O Kahana State Park. This area feels like Jurassic Park which makes sense since it was filmed in the next valley over.
