I went to West Lafayette, Indiana to visit Purdue University and attend a workshop. I didn’t realize until I walked by the train station that this is the Wabash River where the Wabsh Cannonball used to run.

Flying into Indianapolis
Flying from Denver to Indianapolis was really interesting. The Great Plains slowly give way to some topography of river bottoms before getting into the relatively green parts of Indiana.
Landing in Indianapolis we saw the Indy 500 track. In the airport there was a racecar.
Flying from Monterey to Denver
On my way to Indiana for work I flew over the Southwest and some absolutely gorgeous country. It was the right time of day to get incredible illumination across the mountain ranges.
