While in Whanganui, Kristen and I stumbled across an awesome rope swing over the river. The river wasn’t quite deep enough for us to jump in but the swing was still pretty darn fun.
Kristen’s turn!

The Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland is a fascinating place full of stinky mud pots, stinky hot lakes, and stinky geysers. Kristen and I wandered around for quite some time taking in the sulfur fumes.
Don’t fall in!
Seriously. Don’t fall in.
This stuff is greener than a tennis ball.
We went over to watch the eruption of the Lady Knox Geyser. I must say, it was a little anti-climatic. Especially after having seen the geysers in Yellowstone National Park.
The mud pits can make some nasty sounds.
Yay stinky sulfur thermal wonderland parks!
