Tipped Over Hole Digger

We found this interesting situation when we came down the driveway in the morning.  The house being built down the hill was to receive power today.  Well… that won’t be happening.  The driveway gave out from underneath the hole digger truck which tipped it over and on its side.  Whoops!

Not a good day for that driver.

Extra crews hanging out waiting for things to be cleaned up.

One of the two big wreckers that responded to right the fallen over power company truck.

Snow and Mud in the Tillamook State Forest

Matt and I hit the trails in my Toyota 4runner and his Jeep Cherokee to map a few trails in the Tillamook State Forest for Trails Off-Road.

Up on Bates Road at the top of the ridge.

Playing around on the trail that crisscrosses the road.

Down at the bottom of the tricky part of Bates Road.

Mat t getting some FLEX on his Cherokee.

Matt trying to battle up through the snow on 7-Up.  I just *barely* made it in the Albino Rhino with both front and rear diffs locked, aired way down, and spinning tires all over the place.  Matt ended up having to come around the other side to get to the top.

Out on the south side of 7-Up with some amazing views.  What a great day!

Drift Creek Falls Suspension Bridge

Heather and I headed out to the coast to hike down to Drift Creek Falls and the suspension bridge.  This is a popular hike and a great place to get out and experience a little bit of Oregon.

Down on Drift Creek.

The amazing suspension bridge.

This HUGE waterfall coming right out of the basalt cliff in the canyon gives the whole place a buzzing energy.

Looking up at the suspension bridge.

Further down the canyon with the waterfall and the suspension bridge all in one spot.  What an amazing place!

The roaring creek heading to the ocean.

After the hike, we went to Mo’s for lunch in Lincoln City.
