Lower South Falls at Silver Falls State Park is a beautiful waterfall tucked away in the canyon.

The iconic South Falls at Silver Falls State Park is probably the most visited and photographed waterfall in the park. The Civilian Conservation Corps built quite a few of the trails and structures in the park many years ago. This is one of those structures.
Our first view of South Falls.
It is a magnificent waterfall.

The white specks to the left of center are people behind the waterfall. The trail goes back there.

The town of Silverton hosts several interesting attractions including the Oregon Gardens and a Frank Lloyd Wright house. Heather and I visited both to see the sights. The lily pad ponds at the gardens are fun and whimsical.
I remember this part of the gardens being barren when I first visited in middle school. Now the trees have grown in and the water shade garden is gorgeous. Weddings and receptions often happen here.
A higher part of the garden where a wedding was to take place that afternoon.
Statues amongst lush pond growth.
A cute bird apartment complex.
Slate stairs.
The Frank Lloyd Wright house at the edge of the gardens. This building was moved here from elsewhere.
The design wasn’t the most practical for Oregon but the building is stunning.
