St Kitts and Nevis Diving

Heather floating along on one of our first dives of the trip.
Checking out an old bus that was sunk to make an interesting dive site.
They also put a bulldozer down here for some reason.
There is also a small ship in this little wreck park. This ship had a ton of life on it.

First Topside Days on the Boat

Our home away from home the next several days was a nice liveaboard dive boat setup for smaller group diving. This is the wet deck where all of the SCUBA action happens.
Sunrise on the first morning on the boat. We stayed in the harbor overnight to get the last of the people aboard before departing early.
The small watery gap between the islands of St Kitts and Nevis. We did our first dives offshore from Nevis.
Heading along the shore of St Kitts to some dive sites.
St Kitts in all her glory.
Rounding the end of St Kitts on our way to a different dive site. The old fort on Brimstone Hill is visible here.
A group heading off for a land tour of the old fort.
Looking back toward St Kitt as we sailed for Saba.

Walking Around Basseterre

Before our boat was due to board, we took another walk around Basseterre. Here’s

We walked past the National Museum but it wasn’t open that day.
Some businesses have a bunch of bars on the window. This is a pretty small island but they must have some burglary problems downtown.
Heather by the beach with some boats in the background.
I like the pink and yellow paint scheme on the Ministry of Health Office, Parks and Beaches Unit.
Some old rusty equipment in the harbor. Maybe this was a wreck?
A rather cheeky pelican sitting on the beach.
