During the 2018 Monterey Shootout underwater photography contest, Heather ranked 3rd out of about 170 participants for the quality and composition of her excellent photos. Her prize was a trip for two to the Cayman Islands. We packed our bags at the start of January 2019 and headed south to the Caribbean to enjoy some wonderful big wall diving in warm, tropical waters.
- Flying to Little Cayman – We hopped a few flights and ended up in paradise.
- Little Cayman Diving Day 1 – Our first introduction to the Big Wall.
- Little Cayman Diving Day 2 – We found some black coral at the end of an epic swim-through.
- Little Cayman Diving Day 3 – There were some absolute epic swim-throughs today on the reef.
- Little Cayman Diving Day 4 – Spoiler alert! We got engaged!!!
- Little Cayman Diving Day 5 – Heather surprised me underwater with a ring of my own.
- Little Cayman Diving Day 6 – Our last day of diving on the Big Wall at Little Cayman.
- Little Cayman Surface Explorations – We borrowed some bikes and went around the island to check out a few things including the tiny airport, the iguanas, the booby pond, and a few other things.
- Leaving Little Cayman – Flying out of Little Cayman and back to reality.
