- Road’s End – The beach on the north side of Lincoln City is beautiful.
- Snow Days on the Farm – We had a few days of really fun snow on the farm. We even made a few giant snowballs.
- Flooding on the Farm – We had some epic flooding similar to what happend in the big storm back in 1996.
- Devil’s Punchbowl – It’s always fun to check out this geologic curiosity.
- Depoe Bay Day – The prettiest little harbor on the Oregon coast.
- Ben Jones Bridge – A cute bridge on a bypassed part of the Pacific Coast Highway.
- Visiting the Tide Pools on Yaquina Head – They aren’t what they used to be but they’re still pretty.
- Checking Out Newport – We stopped off in Newport to check out the sea lions.
- The Wreck of the Peter Iredale – An iconic Oregon shipwreck on the north coast.
- The South Jetty on the Columbia River – This is the northwestern most point in Oregon.
- Beautiful Scenic Oceanside – Oceanside is an absolutely gorgeous little hidden gem of Oregon coast.
- Portland Timbers vs Minnesota United – RCTID! We won 5-1!
- Our New Rubber Boa Friend – We found a rubber boa constrictor in the garden.
- Working in the Garden – Time to put some seeds in the ground and work toward spring!
- A Walk in the Woods – The first trillium of spring is blooming in the forest and it’s so beautiful.
- A Day on the Coast – Another lovely day on the Oregon coast.
- Walking Around at the Tualatin Wildlife Refuge – We took a walk through the nearby Tualatin Wildlife Refuge.
- Wine Tasting at Sokol Blosser – We went out to the winery to enjoy an afternoon of relaxing in the vineyards.
- Meeting Pi – We have a new horse neighbor!
- Walking Through the Woods – The woods are so beautiful right now.
- Rogers Landing in the Evening on the Willamette River – The river was really lovely this evening.
- Garden Workday – More seeds are in the ground.
- The Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival – Old steam tractors rolling around through fields of tulips.
- The Garden is Growing! – We’ve had some great growth in the garden in the last couple of weeks.
- Springtime in the Pasture – This year is especially beautiful in the pastures.
- Flying Over the Valley – I hopped in a small plane and flew over the valley.
- Netarts Lunch – We had seafood at the sea and walked on the beach.
- Sunny Day in Oceanside – A rare sunny day on the Oregon coast.
- The Octopus Tree – We visited the octopus tree on Cape Meares.
- Cape Meares Lighthouse – The old lighthouse on Cape Meares is a really pretty structure and one of the iconic lighthouses of Oregon.
- Spring Llamas – The llamas love spring!
- Taking Down a Tree Behind the House – We had to take a tree down behind the house because it had started to uproot.
- Navigation Challenge in the Nestucca River Area – We went out with the PDX Overlanders to play around with our truck.
- Neskowin for Lunch – We headed over to Neskowin for some lunch.
- Mount Hebo Ramblings – It’s hard to believe that an airforce base used to be at the top of this mountain.
- A Sunny June Day in Oceanside – We went over to the coast on an abnormally sunny and warm day.
- Munson Creek Falls – The tallest waterfall in the coast range.
- Newberry Crater Weekend – We ran off to Central Oregon for our birthday weekend!
- Lava Butte Cinder Cone – Our old favorite fire lookout.
- Lava Cast Forest – A bunch of trees died so we could see their castings in lava.
- Driving Through the Lava Fields of Newberry Crater – We drove around through the lava fields surrounding Newberry Crater checking stuff out.
- Camping in the Lava Fields – We made camp in between a couple of big lava fields.
- The High Desert Museum Raptor Show – We met some neat hawks, owls, falcons, and buzzards.
- Red Cinder Cone Butte – We ran up a red cinder cone butte for a view of Bend.
- Boyd Cave – A lava tube east of Bend that is fun to explore.
- Arnold Ice Cave – Another lava tube out in the high desert.
- McKay Crossing Campground and McKay Falls – This is the best campsite we’ve had in a long time.
- Paulina Creek Falls – Big waterfalls just below Newberry Crater’s rim.
- Paulina Lake – The western lake in Newberry Crater.
- Big Obsidian Flow in the Snow – It seems like we always end up at this obsidian flow when there’s snow on it.
- Paulina Peak – Beautiful snow-covered Paulina Peak!
- East Lake – We saw a bear but weren’t able to get a photo of it.
- Attempt at Newberry Crater Road – We couldn’t get through because of some deep snow toward the top of the road.
- Benham Falls – Big falls on the Deschutes River.
- Big Tree at La Pine State Park – This is a massive ponderosa pine!
- Touring McKay Falls and Around – The falls really are pretty.
- Orbiting Newberry Crater and Exploring China Hat – There is a lot of really interesting and varied terrain around Newberry Crater from lodgepole and ponderosa pine forests to snowy crags and all the way to wide open sagebrush prairies.
- Cold Spring Campground and Around – We camped for the night on the east side of the Cascades before heading back to the Willamette Valley.
- Camp Sherman and Around – We checked out a few last sights in Central Oregon before heading back over the mountains.
- First Trip in the Tillamook State Forest – My friend Matt took me out the forest to do a run along the ridge tops toward Tillamook.
- Odell Lake – We went up to the lake for a camp out with some friends.
- The La De Da Parade in Yachats – We had a great time on the 4th of July in Yachats!
- Historic Silver Falls Days and the Logging Demonstration – They had a really cool and very old automatic chainsaw that was actually running!
- Our First Beet from the Garden – Our first beet is massive!
- Our First Time on Bennett Pass and Barlow Trail – These 4×4 trails in Oregon are amazing!
- Harvesting the Bounty of the Garden – We have spaghetti squash, zucchini, tomatoes, and many other things ready for harvest.
- Mapping Day on Bennett Pass – We’ve started mapping for Trails Offroad.
- Big 4×4 Trail Day with Ken in the Mount Hood National Forest – We covered a lot of ground exploring around on the east side of Mount Hood.
- Black Hole Sun – The Great American Eclipse – We witnessed one of the most amazing phenomena in the natural world.
- Wine Tasting at Sokol Blosser – We headed out for some wine tasting at Sokol Blosser as the grape leaves turned yellow.
- A Muddy and Snowy Day on the Barlow Trail – Rich and I had a ball playing in the mud and snow where wagon trains once rolled.
- Playing in the Mud in the Tillamook State Forest – Todd and I went out to romp in the woods.
- Drift Creek Falls Suspension Bridge – Heather and I went hiking to check out Drift Creek Falls and the Drift Creek Suspension Bridge in the Oregon coast range.
- Snow and Mud in the Tillamook State Forest – We had a great day playing in the snow and mud in the Tillamook State Forest.
- Tipped Over Hole Digger – Someone at the power company was having a very bad day.
- Pacific City Overnight – A great night in Pacific City.
- Oceanside Daydream – A daydream of a day in Oceanside.
- Out on Archers Firebreak in the Tillamook State Forest – Doing some fun trails in the TSF.
- Afternoon in Newport – A wonderful afternoon in Newport for some crab.
