A big storm really hammered the Monterey Peninsula the last few days. Out in Pacific Grove and along Asilomar, the ocean came up onto the road and pushed towards houses, and onto the golf course. The city is working to push the sand off the roads and repair the damage. Out at Asilomar, many boulders were lifted up off the beach and thrown into the parking area. There was a lot of energy involved in making this happen!
Shortest day of the year
I went out to Asilomar for the shortest day of the year. The sunset was spectacular. Longer days and better times are ahead.
Long walk along the coast to Pacific Grove
We took a long walk along the ocean this morning. It is really staring to feel like fall on the Monterey Peninsula.
