Building the Barn

We built a small temporary barn on my parents’ new property in the mountains of California.  The video is of my dad cutting down a cedar tree prior to us starting construction.

The next step will be the roof and sides.

Building a Barn Extension

Barn Expansion from Douglas Van Bossuyt on Vimeo.

Over Thanksgiving break, Dmitri, my dad, and I tore down an old barn extension and put up the frame for a new, larger extension. I took a time lapse over our three work days and created the above video. Just as we put up the last roof joist, the rain swept in. Over our December break, we will be putting the roof on, putting up siding, and finishing the floor.
