On our way back from the Conservatory of Flowers, we stumbled upon an old fashioned baseball tournament. The teams were using 1886 rules and playing with all 1886 equipment.
Notice the time-traveling couple in the middle of the photo. They were dressed in period hipster wear but were using iPhones.
After a rather eventful flight to Oakland, I met up with Sean and Katie for a Giants game. This was my first time in AT&T Park.
The place was packed.
We had pretty good seats on the first level.
The Beard came out onto the field to close out the game. FEAR THE BEARD!
The Giants had a walk-off win.
I should note that there was an EPIC Muni fail on our way back to Sean and Katie’s apartment. We waited nearly an hour until an N showed up to take us out to the west side of the city. Someone needs to fix Muni in a bad way.
Yesterday I went to the OSU vs UO baseball game. Somehow I managed to get Section A seats just off the 1st base line.
Multiple balls narrowly missed my seat.
The first three innings sealed the fate of the Beavers.
The Ducks coach is a shrimp!
At the end everyone shook hands and went their way.
The final score wasn’t pretty. 7 to 2. Ducks win. I’m sure some people who might look at this will be happy with that outcome though.
