Sunny Day in Oceanside

We had a wonderful sunny day on the beach in Oceanside.  It’s rare that the Oregon coast is this nice.

On the other side of Maxwell Point through the lava tube, we found a whole forest of muscles attached to the rocks.

I wonder if these guys would be tasty with butter.

Beach buddies!

These rocks remind us of the How to Train Your Dragon movies and TV show with all of the sea stacks they have.

Someone built a cool little shelter out of driftwood on the cobble beach.

South beach walk to Bondi Beach

Along the pedestrian walkway in Coogee.

Coogee Beach and the town behind it.

Yay beach!

This collection of boats is really strange.  The tide must come up high enough that they can slide them down the ramps and into the water.  Never seen anything quite like this before.

People out SCUBA diving.

The divers are in the center just to the right.  The sea was pretty choppy and had some good waves.  It must have been an interesting entrance and exit.

The sea was churning pretty good for such a nice day.  Lots of wind, too.

Evidently all of the beaches are groomed and manicured on a regular basis.  The tractor kept going in and out of the water, dumping sand in about 5 feet of water.

We stumbled upon a really large graveyard partway along the walk.

Lots and lots and lots of graves.

Bondi Beach!

The famous Bondi Iceberg Winter Swimming Club.

Black Sand Beaches

The black sand beaches of El Salvador.

The water was cool but nice.

Business waits for no man.

At a small restaurant taking a break.

They had a chained up monkey at the restaurant.

Back on the beach soaking up some sun.
