Driving Around Brunei

I believe this might be the Prime Minister’s offices.

I think this is the Legislative Council of Brunei’s building.

Just a photo of yet another Toyota.

A Chinese Buddhist Temple in town.

The Kampong Ayer (water village) in Bandar Seri Begawan.

A neat bridge that was built a few years ago and that some people are proud of.

Jame’ Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque

We went by the very pretty Jame’ Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque on our tour of Brunei.  This mosque is incredibly ornate.

And of course I was taking pictures of interesting 4x4s.

The entrance to the mosque.

These minarets are fantastic!

And another interesting Toyota.

A Toyota Prado.

The two of us outside the mosque.

The Empire Hotel

Along the way to the capital city of Brunei, we stopped off at the Empire Hotel.  I’m pretty sure this is the only six star hotel I’ve ever been in.  This place is massive and very well appointed.

It reminds me of some of the Pharaonic monuments in Egypt.

This place is ready for a lot of people but there was hardly anyone there when we stopped by.

A gorgeous azure  sea out the windows.

Looking up at the dome in the ceiling.

Walking around the grounds.

This place is absolutely massive.

Enjoying a little pool time before continuing on our way.

Back through the lobby to our car.  This lobby is just so massive.

We spotted a couple monkeys on our way out of the car park.

Inquisitive little fellows!

And I couldn’t resist taking a picture of this sweet Toyota.
