February at Forked Meadow started off with me repairing the wiring harness for the snow blower after it was accidentally ripped apart a few days ago. We’ll end up getting a new harness but this old harness is patched together enough to work at least for a while.
There’s lots of snow on the ground now at Forked Meadow.
I managed to get the gater stuck in the snow and had to spend a day digging it out by hand to retrieve it. Gotta watch out for pockets of undercut snow where water has flowed!
This place is so wonderful any time of the year.
I spent a few cold January days at Forked Meadow where there’s still some snow hanging around. This winter has not been very good for snowpack. Hopefully it’ll pick up soon. Otherwise we’ll have a really bad drought next summer.
