Evening Breakwater birds

There were a couple of very pretty shorebirds out and about looking for food at Breakwater this evening. I wish I had a better zoom lens to really soak in the light so I could get crisper images. But hey, not bad for the equipment I’m borrowing from Heather!

Harbor seals and some scuba divers

There were lots of cute seals on the rocks in the harbor this morning at low tide.
Look at all these little cuties!

You would never guess there are rocks for them to lay out on when the tide is high.

A night heron in the marina.
Seagull getting a meal off the rocks.
At the Hopkins beach on the aquarium side. Lots of seals here. Usually they don’t haul out on this one but with pupping season underway, here they are!
At the main seal beach. Lots of new little seal loafs.

Look at all the cuties!
Cute seals everywhere!

The seal pups are already little fatties!
So many cuties!
“Mom, can I have a drink of milk please?”
So snuggly!
The baby was born yesterday and still has some of its umbilical cord attached.

Evening Otters at San Carlos Beach

All of our otter friends were out and about this evening!

There was a decent swell out of the west that made for some interesting water across the rocks.
Splashy water.

Looking for her pup.
“Hey, get back over here, little one!”

Mom and pup back together. The pup is starting to get ready to leave mom.
Omnomnomnom!

“Oh, hello!”

Gotta eat those muscles to stay strong!
Teethies!

Evening grub time!
