D’Arcy at the Western End of Anderson Lake

As a little detour from BC Highway 99, I headed up the valley to the little community of D’Arcy at the western end of Anderson Lake.  There were quite a few motorcycles here that must have come over from Vancouver for a day trip.

I noticed that there’s a primitive 4×4 road on the north side of the lake that connects back over toward Lillooet.  Perhaps I’ll be back this way with my truck someday…

Duffey Lake Provincial Park

After riding BC Highway 99 up from Lillooet, I stopped at Duffey Lake Provincial Park to take in the view.  This place is absolutely gorgeous.

Here’s the end of the lake where I parked.  A few other people drifted in and out of the parking area while I was there.  I took off when a huge tour bus full of Japanese tourists pulled up and started disgorging passengers.

Further up along the lake in a sunny spot.  The air in the shade was pretty cold but in the sun it was very pleasant.

Seton Lake Outside of Lillooet

After stopping for gas in Lillooet, I headed up British Columbia Highway 99 heading south toward Vancouver.  Along the way, I stopped off at Seton Lake to take in the view.  BC Hydro has a lot of projects out here to keep the power flowing to Canada’s western cities.
