La De Da Parade

The start of the world-famous La De Da Parade in Yachats. Every 4th of July the parade marches through the small seaside town. I think that the town probably alternates years when which half of the town appears in the parade. Otherwise there wouldn’t be anyone on the side of the road to watch everyone march by!

Blowing Sand on the Oregon Coast

The sand and the beach are stunning on a blue, sunny day in Oregon. Even though it’s sunny, it is VERY cold. The wind helps steal the heat.

On the Coast with Heather

Yesterday Heather and I went on a drive along the coast. We stopped at Cape Perpetua. In spite of the incoming storm, the waves weren’t all that large.

We did get a couple of good splashes but nothing extraordinary.

The visibility was pretty good. If both Heather and I didn’t have colds, we would have gone diving yesterday. There were a few people with DPVs setting up in the parking lot and waiting for high tide.
