At some point in the not too distant past, a good sized fire rolled through this part of the forest. It looks like superb deer and elk habitat now.

Anthony Lakes Ski Area in the Early Fall
I always wondered about the Anthony Lakes Ski Area. It shows up on my daily snow report during the ski season. This was finally my chance to see where it is and what it looks like. This is the long trail that goes to the west of the lift. As far as I could tell, the resort only has one lift!
