I was up at Forked Meadow again for a few days. There’s a light dusting of snow on the meadows and it’s cold out. The wood stove is working overtime to keep me toasty.
Above the bluff
I went for a cold afternoon walk up and above the bluff to see if there’s anything new going on above Forked Meadow. I saw an older coyote track in the snow but that’s about it for interesting sights. I did find a good tree for the holidays on the far side of the meadow from the house that will now be going back to Monterey with me.
Beaver Moon at Forked Meadow
I’ve been playing around with my GoPro’s abilities to capture starry skies at night. It’s impressive how well it does. The Beaver Moon was the other night so I captured it rising over Forked Meadow.
Things are cold at Forked Meadow but no snow is in the forecast at least in the next few weeks. My camera ended up with some heavy frost from the last time I put it out.
