I went hiking in Apex Park which is just a mile from my front door. Why it took me so long to go hiking in the park, I don’t know. Apex trail follows the canyon and once was a wagon road to the gold fields.
Looking back down the trail.
Climbing up on another trail, looking back toward Denver.
Pretty wildflowers along the trail.
Heritage Square and my neighborhood with Denver in the distance.
Looking north toward the Flatirons and Boulder.
Looking out toward my neighborhood and Denver.
Sections of Apex Park are wooded.
More pretty flowers.
There are massive and extremely expensive houses on top of the mountain.
Beautiful area up here.
Thunderstorm coming in. I ran down the mountain until I was low enough I didn’t feel vulnerable to lightning strikes.
Looking back at North and South Table Mountains with Golden in between.
