Gigjukvisl Bridge
The ice cap looming in the clouds. Periodically, large flows of water emanate from beneath the ice due to volcanic activity. The big delta that the road crosses was created by the runoff from the glaciers above.
A jökulhlaup took out this bridge in 1996.
