Höfn

The town of Höfn in the rain.

A snow cat sitting outside the local glacier exhibition.

 The town antenna tower.

Some strange art in someone’s yard.

Looking out into a small bay.

 The town fishing fleet.

An old buoy or maybe an old mine.

A propeller at a small outdoor maritime park.

 Another buoy.

A small fishing boat turned into an outdoor exhibit.

 A sturdy house.

Almost every vehicle in Iceland is lifted in very tasteful ways.

A sweet flame job on a Mercedes.

Looking out to some low-lying offshore islands.

Some touristic signs near the waterfront.

Looking out toward the east.

Further along the waterfront.

Houses on a spit of land.

A small museum on the edge of town.

Equipment from the last 150 years.

A nice tractor.  I suspect it still sees use.

Heading to Höfn

Driving through some of the epic landscape of Iceland on the way to Höfn.

 Another one lane bridge.

Water rolling down the river on the way to the sea.

 A farm by the sea.

Djúpivogur

 Heading into Djúpivogur.

 The fishing fleet.

A large house.

Looking down toward the water.

Be careful!  This is a runway!

Yup.  I can drive right down a runway if I wish.

It must be nice to live in the middle of all of this nature.  Although probably a bit soggy, too.

Strange egg art along the waterfront.

 Such strange rock eggs!

There are a LOT of them.

 A rather odd sculpture.

 A rustic church.
