Eyjafjallajökull
Somewhere up in the clouds lurks Eyjafjallajökull and the volcano that caused all of the flight delays across Europe in 2010.
This tourist bus was the first sign of large-scale tourism in Iceland. I think they were all German senior citizens.
The tourists were scraping ash out of this piece of concrete pipe that was up-ended. I guess it makes a nice thing for tourists to do.
Driving into Adventure

A vehicle designed to drive on these roads headed up to the ice. I’m pretty sure my Yaris could have made it up there, too. The last time I did something like that, it was an adventure.
