A Walk that Turned Into a Hike

Last week Jesi needed to blow off some steam.  We ended up walking eight miles and didn’t get back until nearly dark.  Here, the old sheep barns have been taken down and a new barn is getting ready to rise.

The last week or so we’ve had coastal low clouds and fog rolling across the valley.  It reminds me of San Francisco.  Perhaps this is what global climate change will look like.

On this day the fog never quite made it to the valley.  On other days it has gone all the way to the Cascades.

Covered Bridges with Jesi

Two days ago I went on a nice motorcycle ride with Jesi to pick up some covered bridges to the east of Corvallis that I hadn’t had a chance to see before.  Below is the route map from our trip.  Recently I was given an Android-based smart phone as a birthday present.  It has an app for GPS tracking.  I do believe I will quite enjoy tracking where I’ve driven and what roads I’ve visited.  We visited the Weddle Covered Bridge that has been relocated to a park in Sweet Home and the Crawfordsville Covered Bridge.

Pho and Gunpowder Tea

The other day I worked over Brady’s paper at the Beanery on Monroe.  A cup of gunpowder tea kept me company.

Lately I’ve been eating a lot of Pho with Jesi at Lemongrass Noodles.  Yum!
