An otter in the kelp

One of our friendly local sea otters was chowing down on some good grub along the jetty at San Carlos Beach.

Some very cute seals with their pups

All the seal pups are getting pretty big. They’ll be getting weaned soon and we’ll be seeing them underwater when we go diving.

Pup really wants to go up on shore but mom is checking out the scene before she gives the okay.
Looking to see if the coast is clear.

Lots of seal logs of varying sizes on the seal beach next to Hopkins Marine Station.

Sea lions, divers, and sea otters
